Until I See You Again

Until I See You Again

(Mark Schultz)
Oh child, precious one
Let your life shine like the sun
But you say “How long ‘til I can come home
‘Til I can rest in your arms again”
And I say “Not long but don’t miss this life and I’ll be
Waiting ‘til then”

(Chorus)
Live with the wonder of a child
Pray with your arms thrown open wide
Love with a love that has no end
Until I see you again

Oh child, precious one
With each breath know you are loved
But you say “How long ‘til I can come home
‘Til I can rest in your arms again”
And I say “Not long but don’t miss this life and I’ll be
Waiting ‘til then”

So I was listening to this song this morning and I was just thinking how true this is. I often wonder when life is going to be over, not that I want to end it myself…That just sounds bad. But in light of what is waiting in heaven, why be here? I know and I understand that we are here for a purpose and God will use us, but sometimes it seems pointless. How depressing, which is really not the point of what I’m trying to say here. I wanted to say that yes, being with God will be wonderful, but He will also be waiting. We aren’t to miss whats going on here and the purpose that God has for us while we are here. God isn’t going anywhere, and we can’t get the time here back. So, look around, enjoy the beauty of Gods creation, look at life through God’s eyes, Live with the wonder of a child
Pray with your arms thrown open wide
Love with a love that has no end
Until I see you again..

  1. I really like this song a lot. It touches me everytime I hear it. I have the cd that the song is on. I am a Christian. I have falled back from beleiving in God a lot. I lost my mother when I was 12 and, that was just so hard for me to deal with. I know God has a purposes for everything he gives and takes away. But, It seems like everytime I start to believe that then something bad happnes or something. I just really like this song because, It really encourages me to believe in God.

    Thanks,
